HR-IXPWINDi HauteWind Internet Weather Station (released product)

The HauteWINDTM HR-WINDi Indoor Internet Weather Station Appliance is a complete, turnkey solution for weather monitoring. Combining high performance broadband networking, full feature application support including Web server, and a variety of weather sensors, this is the perfect solution for weather data gathering at home, school or office.

Just attach the HauteWINDTM HR-IXPWINDi controller to your broadband router via Ethernet or 802.11b/g “WiFi”, and connect your choice of Davis Instruments or 1-Wire weather stations sensors, and you are ready to publish the weather conditions from your location to the Internet.

The HauteWINDTM HR-IXPWINDi Internet Weather Station monitors the attached sensors 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. No dedicated PC is required. The HauteWINDTM HR-WINDi is fully self contained and can be managed from any PC through a simple to use browser interface.

Real time weather information from the HauteWINDTM HR-WINDi can be pushed to either Weather Underground, WeatherBug, HAM Weather, or Citizen Weather Observer Program, or can be easily pulled into any web site for public or private access.

No longer must you dedicate a computer to your Internet weather monitoring system. This complete appliance solution eliminates the need for any external equipment. All that is required is an existing broadband Internet connection. Everything else is included.

The integrated 802.11 b/g client adapter allows the HauteWINDTM HR-WINDi to connect to any standard access point. This allows the HauteWINDTM HR-WINDi to connect wirelessly to your home broadband connection or to be used in any location where “WiFi” is available, including public access locations such as schools, coffee shops and bookstores.

The HauteWINDTM HR-WINDi Internet Weather Station is a small form factor solution, which allows for it to be placed in a variety of locations. It is only 4 inches square and can be tucked away in your phone closet or where ever you keep your broadband router.

The system draws less than 4 Watts and can be powered by optionally available solar/battery systems, vehicle power or standard AC power.

For schools, clubs or businesses, this is the perfect solution for providing real time, web accessible weather reporting. Provided Weather Underground, WeatherBug, HAMWeather, and CWOP integration allows anyone, anywhere to see your weather conditions, without delay.

All of the features of the HauteWINDTM HR-WINDi Internet Weather Station can be managed through a simple Web interface, accessible through any browser.

The HauteWINDTM HR-WINDi Internet Weather Station fully supports IP cameras too. Just attach an IP camera to the Ethernet port, set the IP address, and the HauteWINDTM HR-WINDi Internet Weather Station will self configure a firewall and port forwarding to support your camera. The HauteWINDTM  HR-WINDi Internet Weather Station can act as a wireless client bridge to your IP Camera, allowing placement of the camera anywhere within range of your 802.11b/g access point. You can also overlay the weather readings from your sensors onto your IP camera image including branding and other text data.

The sensor data is all readable from within the web interface.

Compatible with 1-Wire sensors available from Texas Weather Instruments, Hobby Boards, and AAG Electronica, or with Davis Instruments Vantage Pro2 with the WeatherLink data logger serial interface.

HR-IXPWIND HauteWind Outdoor Remote Internet Weather Station (Not yet released)

The HauteWINDTM Wireless Weather Station is a turn key solution for remote weather monitoring. Combining high performance broadband wireless networking, full feature application support including Web server, a variety of weather sensors, and the ability to integrate virtually any IP camera, this is the perfect solution for remote data gathering at distances up to 26 miles*.

With the flexibility to select a radio module to suit your application need, the HauteWINDTM Wireless Weather Station can be placed miles from the nearest broadband network connection, regardless of terrain, obstructions, or weather. As the client of a point to multipoint network, it can easily connect to any existing 802.11, public safety or 900MHz broadband based network

The base package includes the wireless client bridge housed in a waterproof NEMA IP 6/7 enclosure, Power Over Ethernet injector, temperature sensor, anemometer (wind direction and wind speed), and barometer. You can also select the appropriate radio module for your application: 900MHz for long distance through trees or over moderate obstructions but at lower data rates (limits video streaming throughput); 2.4GHz (802.11b/g) for near line of sight operation at higher data rates; 4.9GHz for Public Safety Agencies; or 5GHz (802.11a) for the highest data rate in line of sight operation. HauteSpot Networks offers a wide array of complimentary antenna solutions as well, to fit almost any need (antennas are not included with the product).

As a wireless client bridge, the HauteWINDTM Wireless Weather Station can be integrated with virtually any IP camera, just attach the camera via a cross over cable or Ethernet hub to the HR-IXPWIND and you are streaming video as well as weather data.

The HauteWINDTM Wireless Weather Station is a small form factor solution, which allows for it to be placed in a variety of locations from antenna towers, to neighborhood light posts, to a residential rooftop to the roof of a truck, rv or boat. The low profile aluminum enclosure is waterproof, vandal resistant, easy to mount, and corrosion resistant. The connectors are water and vapor tight and allow for easy connection of both power and antennas without the need to even open the case.

The HauteWINDTM Wireless Weather Station draws less than 10 Watts and can be powered by optionally available solar/battery systems, vehicle power or standard AC power.

In addition to being a powerful weather monitoring solution, the  HauteWINDTM Wireless Weather Station can also be used as a wireless client bridge, allowing users in remote locations to have broadband network connectivity. For Public Safety agencies, such as fire departments, public works, or Public Utilities, this is an ideal way to provide secure, remote connectivity. With support for adaptive rate control, and XR extended range support, users will be able to maintain reliable connections in the most difficult locations.

All of the features of the HauteWINDTM Wireless Weather Station can be managed through a simple Web interface, accessible through any browser.

All sensor data are all readable from within the web interface.

Compatible with 1-Wire sensors available from Texas Weather Instruments, Hobby Boards, and AAG Electronica, or with Davis Instruments Vantage Pro2 with the WeatherLink data logger serial interface.
