Product Developments

The HauteSpot Networks development team has been testing our HR-IXPSXP high performance wireless bridge with a variety of video encoders with great success. We are constrained by non-disclosure agreements from naming the manufacturers of these encoders here. However, we can say that we have been able to successfully stream video and audio, at broadcast contribution quality (loss less), for up to 1080p/59.94 resolutions with excellent results. Our HauteLine OFDM protocol running under our HauteRoute OS operating system, combined with our Intel IXP network processor platform delivers solid performance in point to point links at relatively long distances.

One of the key advantages that the HR-IXPSXP architecture offers over competing technologies is that it is bi-directional and supports standard TCP/IP, allowing complete remote management of the bridges and the remote encoder from anywhere on the network. When used with encoding and streaming technologies that are capable of adjusting compression level and data rates to match underlying network conditions, you can create extremely stable connections between video sources (cameras) and targets that speed up when conditions are good and slow down when conditions deteriorate.

For broadcasters and surveillance operators the HR-IXPSXP is the ideal solution to HD backhaul over wireless. When paired with the right encoder technology, you can create the high definition "extension cord" that you need from 20 meters to 20 kilometers.
