- Visit the installation site.
- Map it
- Take GPS coordinates of all mounting locations.
- Note any possible sources of electrical or RF interference. Look for antennas in the area.
- Try to find out what frequency the equipment is using.
- HauteSpot Networks routers have sophisticated software tools integrated into them that allows for complete site surveys
- Note distances between drop locations
- Note obstructions in the air path between drop locations
- Put everything down on a site map using a tool like Google Earth

Vidovation demos portable wireless network video recorder. The microNVR is ideal for many applications combining on-site edge recording with live wireless relay such as in-vehicle video monitoring, light pole mounted video monitoring, solar powered remote video monitoring stations, camera back video recording and relay, and a pocket-carried video recorder.
We put the HauteSpot microNVR and Global Emergency Resources eWRAP to the test. Driving 700 miles from Meridian, Mississippi to Augusta, Georgia, we put a Mobotix megapixel camera attached to a microNVR and eWRAP in a moving van. The microNVR recorded at full frame rate and resolution all of the video from the camera. It also transcoded and pushed video out over the eWRAP using 3G EvDO wireless.
